Robins and frogs

Yesterday I took this picture of the last robin chick to leave the nest and today the nest was empty. About 10 this evening Ruth called me because a toad had hopped up to the front of the house. (She has often seen one in the garden and once I saw a toad in the fish pond.) You never know what kind of wildlife will appear at our acerage.

Wow! My hubby would love being around your place, he loves catching all sorts of weird creatures and teaching my daughter to love catching them too....I can only imagine what it will be like when our boy grows up....and what types of weird living things he'll come home with.....and what types of screeching noises I'll make in response....
Happy belated birthday! To both of you! Crazy to think how much time has gone by....
And by the way, good on you for lasting till 50 before needing a regular Sunday afternoon nap! I lasted till I had kids....maybe I'll get my second wind in 10 years.
