Gordon Hector Wallace

It was a cold windy day with about 6 inches of snow on the ground when we put Gordon to rest on Friday November 10, 2006 at the Woodlawn Cemetery. Bob Parker did an excellent job (once again) of reminding everyone what this life is really about and how important it is to keep the Creator of all things in mind and how He has a better place for us all. There were about 80 people in attendance for the 2:00 service and it was heart-warming to be surrounded with so many caring people in this time of great sorrow.

Dearest Ian, Ruth and family,

How we love you all, know that you are continually in our every thought and prayer. Due to prior arrangements, it was so painful for us not to be with you yesterday. We were however right by your side in spirit; we spent the afternoon in prayer, interceding with our Lord to wipe away our tears, sustain us and send out His healing.

Your family, dear Ian, is a testament of undying Faith, Love and Hope. Praise God for His grace and mercy. "They that hope in the Lord shall mount up with wings like eagles". How I praise the Lord for ministering His healing through each one of you. We love you so and cannot wait to see you in person again.

Know that you are never alone, we share your pain , we share your joys, for we are family!! God bless and keep you are dear ones.

All our love and prayers.

It's very sad that Gordon didn't have the opportunity to grow up around the many people that love him. I imagine we are selfish since we know he is in the presence of our heavenly Father. Jenn and John have been amazingly strong. I don't believe I would have been that strong. Our prayers go up for you and Ruth and your entire family. God Bless you.
