July 24 Ruth and I were touring the northern coast of France and this was looking across the English Channel. We later took a train ride from Calais, France to Ashford, England which was about 22 minutes under the English Channel on a train called Eurostar. From Ashford we went to London and from London to Liverpool. I've never ridden on so many trains in one month in my life before.

He cool! I thought you might fly but riding the train is even better. I was never able, up until now, to take the Eurostar but it is said that it's fun and easy. (Very famous train.)
I'm glad you took the train because you see so much more. The landscape and people and it's sort of personal. I took the train everytime I went from Leipzig (home) to Chemnitz (university) and back. You can see the fields and little cities and the change of season, which is so amazing.
Yeah, I've been very patiently waiting for updates about the trip. Remember I'm not up there to see the pics and hear the stories.
BTW, I got a question right in a game because of the picture you sent of England and the fancy flowers in front of the cottage. The question showed a picture of landscaping in France (which I recognized) and asked if that was typical of England. I said no, that England had a more natural/wild look instead of the highly tailored ones and I was right!
