Valentine's Day only occurs once a year and usually the flowers are overpriced just for that day. I prefer to buy Ruth flowers anytime of the year (except Valentine's Day) and I can get flowers more often and for a better price. This dozen long-stemmed roses were only about 15 dollars. So I may not be very romantic on Valentine's Day, but on any of the rest of the days of the year, just for the fun of it, I may buy flowers.

I have the same complaint of Valentine's Day, but having worked for a flower shop during that time one year I understand that the gouging is much higher than the local shop. I always claim to be too "Scottish" what's your excuse?
