- Born in 1948 (so I am a baby boomer) I remember living in a house that had kerosene lanterns and a wood stove and water had to be hauled in. In the winter it was easier because we simply had to bring in snow and melt it!

Did you see Jenn's post regarding your anniversary? It's beautiful and I agreed with her comments and added my own there, but to you directly, I'll say... CONGRATULATIONS!!! We are happy for you. Happy for the 35 years, happy you are together in France, happy that you get to enjoy the next generation together and rejoice together and love together.
Yes, Happy Anniversary. We love you and we're glad you are enjoying your holidays. Happy Birthday on Saturday Dad! We'll be celebrating Andrew's on Sunday so we'll have to have some ice cream cake in your absence.
