Ruth has a bird feeder with special birdseed in it. So guess what shows up every day. I counted about a dozen finches but they are very easy to scare away. The most I saw feeding at the same time was eight.

It's so funny seeing those birds. I mean, Canada is freaking cold in the winter time but during sommer you have those canarian like birds. I don't get that. *g* I haven't seen them though when I was over there. It's good that you have a camera. ;)
Born in 1948 (so I am a baby boomer) I remember living in a house that had kerosene lanterns and a wood stove and water had to be hauled in. In the winter it was easier because we simply had to bring in snow and melt it!
